New Ordinances on Agenda for Township Committee Tonight

The committee will also honor police officers who stopped a robbery

The Wyckoff Township Committee will vote on three new ordinances and possibly also the dog pilot program for Community Park at its meeting tonight. The committee will also honor police officers who caught thieves who had taken $1 million worth of Rolex watches last April.

The ordinances will establish new fire zones for parking purposes, protect streams and create rules for sump pumps.

The pilot program to allow dogs in Community Park will create a temporary exception for designated areas in the park. Currently, dogs are not allowed in any of Wyckoff's parks. If there are no problems and owners clean up after their pets, Mayor Kevin Rooney said the committee will consider allowing dogs permanently.

The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of Memorial Town Hall.
