How To: Help Teens Go 'From Apathy to Energy'

The next installment of the Parent Connection program at the Wyckoff Family YMCA will feature Rev. Jeffrey Boucher and is scheduled for Thursday, April 25.

Parenting is a serious road to travel and sometimes there are bumps along the way. The Wyckoff Family YMCA presents “The Parent Connection” to be held on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Y's Lake House.

Rev. Jeffrey Boucher, of Powerhouse Christian Church in Wyckoff and Touch the World Ministries in Allendale, will share his experiences with youths and families to help parents understand the need for a “blueprint” for each child’s development.

Boucher will be presenting a program titled “Parenting: The Most Important Stuff.” Boucher has a broad understanding of helping teens progress “from apathy to energy.”

“Jeff has worked extensively with teens over the years,” said Kris Pepper of the Wyckoff YMCA. “He’s really got his finger on the pulse of what makes them tick and he is going to put on a great presentation. How to understand your kids and how to energize your kids, he really gets it.”

Boucher has coached junior football, baseball and softball in Wyckoff for more than 20 years and is Police Chaplain for the Wyckoff Police Benevolent Association.
