Census: Hispanic Population Up Sharply in Township
Asian and African American Population Show Small Increases in Wyckoff
Wyckoff saw a dramatic gain in the number of Hispanic or Latino population over the last decade, rising from 376 residents to 737, a 96 percent increase. But overall the Hispanic or Latino population still accounts for only 4.4 percent of Wyckoff’s total population, according to recently released Census data.
Other groups who experienced modest increases between 2000 and 2010 included African Americans and Asians. The white population stayed relatively level over that period, rising from 15,607 to 15,616
The township’s overall population, according to the 2010 U.S. Census data, now sits at 16,696.

The sharpest declines in population were among the American Indian and Alaska Native residents, which dropped from 25 to 7.
