Wyckoff Educator Appointed to Board of Directors of The Phoenix Center
Wyckoff, NJ - Wyckoff resident Jennifer MacKay was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of The Phoenix Center, a state-approved private school serving students with developmental disabilities.
MacKay is a Special Education Teacher at Ramapo High School serving as a coordinator and transition program teacher of students with disabilities. Active in her field, MacKay is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). She holds a B.S. in Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College, an M.S. in Instructional Design from Western Governors University, and M.S in Educational Leadership from the College of St. Elizabeth. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from College of St. Elizabeth.

Now in its 20th year, The Phoenix Center is a private, not for profit school in Nutley, NJ serving children with autism and other developmental disabilities from nearly 70 towns throughout northeastern New Jersey. The Pheonix Center is a wonderful school. It is managed by a great caring staff. Students have many opportunities to learn academic and life skills.
