Police Chief Benjamin Fox has said that increased security measures will be employed at the annual Wyckoff Fire Department fireworks fundraiser, planned for Sept. 4.

Attendees are discouraged from bringing coolers, knapsacks and other bags to Memorial Field, as it will delay entry. Alcoholic beverages are banned and will not be permitted anywhere at Scott Plaza.

Handicapped parking will be available at the Wyckoff Public Library. Vehicles must display their handicapped permit and may only enter Woodland Avenue via Monroe Avenue. All vehicle access will be denied starting at 7:30 p.m., when only pedestrian traffic will be permitted through the municipal complex.

Police and fire personnel will be available at the entrances to direct spectators. Fox suggests arriving early to avoid delays at the entry points.
