Learn To Be A Locavore A locavore is a person interested in eating food that is locally produced, not moved long distances to market. Abma's Farm is committed to providing fresh, wholesome food grown and produced as locally as possible, typically within a 250-mile radius of Wyckoff. Locally grown food is typically harvested within 24 hours of purchase, which means it is fresher and has greater nutritional value. Buying local supports the local economy.
Abma's Farm is Bergen County's only produce, poultry and pork farm. The farm market sells hormone-free, antibiotic-free chicken and pork and cage-free eggs collected daily. The greenhouses stock organic gardening pest management products, heirloom tomato plants, Seed Saver Heritage seeds and more. The Wyckoff farm has been owned and operated by the Abma family since 1930 and is currently being farmed by the fourth generation of Abma's.
